Unnayan Banka Project received International Innovation Award 2018

Unnayan Banka – Reinventing Education using Technology” has received highly prestigious Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management (CAPAM) International Innovation Award 2018. The other finalist under Innovation Incubation Category were from Mauritius and Singapore, namely “Impact of Hydrographic Services in Mauritius, Hydrographic Unit, Ministry of Housing and Lands, Mauritius” and “SAFER: Sensemaking Analytics for Maritime Event Recognition, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore”

Unnayan initiative aims to provide Quality Education to students through integration of technology with a focus on ensuring continuous monitoring and accountability in the public education system. Under this initiative, Mobile-based Eckovation Platform and ICT is used for providing contextualised videos-based learning modules, continuous and comprehensive evaluation of students performance and cohort learning facilities to students involving use of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics.

CAPAM International Innovation Award 2018

Unnayan Banka Project was nominated by Government of India to represent the nation for CAPAM International Innovation Award 2018  (Commonwealth Association for Public Administration and Management). The innovative and scalable project in the field of education development was shortlisted as finalist on 4th June, 2018 along with initiatives from Mauritius and Singapore under Innovation Incubation category. The highly energetic and innovative Mr. Kundan Kumar, District Magistrate Banka was invited to share the vision and concept of the noble initiative in Georgetown, Guyana from 20th to 25th October, 2018. The project has been highly appreciated and awarded International Innovation Awards 2018. Proud Moment for India.

Unnayan Banka – Reinventing Education using Technology

Unnayan Banka initiative  is fostering an environment in Public Schools of Banka District in Bihar (LWE affected region in south-eastern Bihar) that encourages active student and teachers participation while building conceptual understanding through animated and interactive video lectures. The project has improved accessibility to quality education in remotest areas of the district. The multi-platform learning facilities provided by Eckovation has helped to improve the reach and quality of education to the students through integration of technology with a focus on ensuring continuous monitoring and accountability in the system. The approach is towards institutional building and ensuring sustainability through capacity building of teachers and administration.
